Concept Note

Background and Objectives

Workplace mental health has gained significant attention worldwide, as organizations recognize the importance of supporting the well-being of their employees. To address this critical issue, we propose organizing a Workplace Mental Health Conference. The objective of this one-day conference is to facilitate knowledge sharing, raise awareness, and provide practical insights to promote a healthy work environment and enhance mental well-being among employees.

Theme

The conference will focus on the theme "Cultivating a Culture of Mental Wellness in the Workplace." By exploring strategies, initiatives, and best practices, we aim to empower organizations to create an inclusive and supportive environment that prioritizes mental health, ultimately improving employee satisfaction, productivity, and overall organizational success.

  • Date: June 29, 2024


  • Duration and Location: Happening in the heart of Kigali City at the M Hotel, the one day conference will allow ample time for comprehensive discussions, networking, and engagement.


  • Audience: The conference aims to bring together approximately 200 delegates representing a diverse range of organizations, including professionals from human resources, leadership roles, mental health practitioners, occupational therapists, and wellness experts. Attendees will include decision-makers, influencers, and individuals passionate about promoting mental well-being in their workplaces.


  • Keynote Speeches: Esteemed keynote speakers will share their valuable insights and experiences, setting the tone for the conference. The keynote speeches will address topics like:
